Meet the Ayrshire Area Support Team (AST)

Your Ayrshire AST is here to support you every step of the way.
Covering North, South and East Ayrshire, our team brings together staff and volunteers who make sure Panel Members feel connected, confident and supported.
From wellbeing and learning, to practical guidance and local knowledge, the Ayrshire AST ensures you have the people and resources you need to make a difference.
Once appointed, you’ll also have access to our Regional Hub – your one-stop space for updates, tools and support throughout your volunteer journey.
Where hearings take place
Hearings can be held online or in-person, you will be notified of this when allocated a hearing by the Resource Allocation Team.
There are three hearing centres in Ayrshire:
Ayr Hearing Centre, 35 Carrick Street, KA7 1NS
Irvine Hearing Centre, Sovereign House, Academy Road, KA12 8RL
Kilmarnock Hearing Centre, 21 West Langlands Street, KA1 2PY
When hearings take place
As a volunteer Panel Member, you are required to attend two sessions per month. You can keep CHS up to date with your availability.
