Who can help me get ready for my hearing?
If you have questions before your hearing, there are lots of people who can help you.
Who can I talk to?
If you have questions before your hearing, there are lots of people who can help you. You can speak to:
The Children’s Reporter – the person who sent you the letter
Your social worker
Your teacher
They can explain what will happen and answer any worries you might have.
These adults can also help you get in touch with an Advocate.
An Advocate is someone who:
helps you share your views
makes sure adults at the hearing understand what you think
can come to the hearing with you
helps you choose how you want to be heard
You can choose to:
speak to the Panel yourself
make a short voice recording
make a video
or not speak at all — your Advocate can speak for you
Other organisations that can support you
