Twenty-eight current and former CHS volunteers from across Scotland have been honoured as guests at the King’s Garden Party in Edinburgh.

CHS is delighted that the Children (Care, Care Experience and Services Planning) (Scotland) Bill has received Royal Assent, meaning it is now an Act of Parliament. This new law will help deliver the Promise, introducing significant changes to the hearings system for Scotland’s children.

Children’s Hearings Scotland has submitted its response to the Scottish Government’s consultation on 'the future of secure care and the single point of contact for victims in the Children's Hearings System'.

CHS has released a short film to help children and young people understand the improvements made in hearings in 2024-25. 

CHS welcomes the approval by MSPs of the Children (Care, Care Experience and Services Planning) (Scotland) Bill, which will now proceed to become law.

The Minister for Children, Young People and the Promise has announced the reappointment of Katharina Kasper as Chair of the board of Children's Hearings Scotland, for a second four-year term.
