Before you start your application, we wanted to just give you some handy hints about completing the application form and what to expect from it.  Thank you in advance for wanting to volunteer to become a Panel Member, you are about to embark on an incredible journey

What information do I need to apply?  

The application will ask for: 

•            Your contact details 

•           Your own community knowledge 

•           Your own experience 

•           Information about you 

•        Days when you can commit to volunteering 

It will be useful to know before you get started if:

•  You have any potential conflicts of interest  (if you are unsure, please contact chsrecuit@chs.gov.scot

• If you have a PVG (don’t worry if you don’t, we will apply for one once you have been recommended to become a trainee)

• The contact details of two referees who we can approach (we will only approach once you have been recommended to become a trainee) 

How long will the form take to complete? 

The form usually takes approx 30 minutes.  

Can I complete this form on my mobile? 

Yes, but we recommend using a desktop screen rather than a mobile device to complete the form. Most applicants find the desktop version easier to complete.   

Do I need to fill out the entire form in one go? 

No. If you need to complete the form in more than one go, just click Save at the bottom of the screen.  

When you click Save, you will see a pop-up which asks you to enter your email address and you will be emailed a link to go back into your application at a later stage. 

What happens next? 

•          After you submit your application form you will see a notification that the application has been submitted and a request to fill in our Equalities Monitoring Form.   

•          You will then receive an email confirming that we have received your application with a copy of your own completed application.   

•          Once the campaign closes, applications will be reviewed with the local teams and for applications which meet the criteria, you will be asked to attend an interview locally.
