PPA Application Guide

Before you apply

Please read this application pack before starting.

What information do I need to apply?

Have this information ready for applying:

  • Contact details
  • Your own community knowledge
  • Your own experience
  • About you
  • Your availability
  • Information on: 
    • Any conflicts of interest
    • Safeguarding and PVG
    • References

How long will the form take to complete?

The form usually takes less than 30 minutes.

Can I complete this form on my mobile?

Yes, but we recommend using a desktop screen rather than a mobile device to complete the form. Most applicants find the desktop version easier to complete.

Do I need to fill out the entire form in one go?

No. If you need to complete the form in more than one go, just click Save at the bottom of the screen. 

  • When you click Save, you will see a pop-up which says Sign up to save submission as a draft.
  • At the bottom of the box, there is a link Skip Create an Account; click it and enter your email address.
  • You will then be emailed a link so you can resume your application at any time.

Please note that every required field must be completed before you can progress to the next page or save.

What if I have a problem while completing the application?

If you face any problems with the application form or you have any questions, email the Recruitment team at chsrecruit@chs.gov.scot

What happens next?

After you click Submit you will receive on-screen confirmation that the application has been sent. 

Over the next couple of days, you will receive an email from PowerApp to say that your application has been downloaded and submitted to the Recruitment team.
