Who are we looking for and why work at Children’s Hearings Scotland (CHS)?

At Children’s Hearings Scotland we are looking for creative, motivated and proactive communications professionals to join our Communications Team in two exciting new roles: Internal Communications Officer and External Communications Officer.

Our organisation recruits, trains and supports empathetic and committed volunteers. Our 2,500 volunteer Panel Members take part in children’s hearings, making decisions with and for infants, children and young people, and our network of 22 Area Support Teams provide support to Panel Members locally. We are committed to #KeepThePromise to Scotland’s infants, children and young people, and you would be joining us during an exciting period of change as we redesign the children’s hearings system with our partners and people with lived experience.

These roles will play a key part in supporting brand development, growing our external profile and delivering consistent communications for the organisation. We are looking for previous experience of working within a communications team, with a sound understanding of developing and delivering campaigns, and content across a range of different platforms, for different audiences.

Our Communications team

These roles sit within the Communications team which is responsible for brand marketing, campaigns, internal and digital communications and PR at Children’s Hearings Scotland.

Our role is to engage with our 3,000 strong volunteer community, and to raise the profile of who we are and what we do. We live and breathe our vision, mission and values, and the team is passionate about delivering quality, creative communications.

Whilst these roles have an internal/external focus, you will be working within a small and dynamic team, and there will be opportunities to gain experience working across the communications mix.
