Do you have experience of the care system? If so, we are really keen to work with you on new images for our Panel Member recruitment campaign.

Our campaign focuses on four traits we think are really important for Panel Members – trust, compassion, listening and empathy – and we need to choose new models to be the face of those traits.

Before we make any decisions we would love to get the views of care experienced young people on who we should pick. This is really important to us, because ultimately this campaign is all about making sure the people who make decisions in children’s hearings are people children and families feel comfortable with, and confident in.

We plan to hold an online workshop with a small group of young people, to discuss who should represent the traits, and what situation we should photograph and film them in. For example does someone in scrubs give the appearance of being more empathetic than someone in a suit? You tell us!

If you are interested in taking part please email sarah.hunter-argyle@chs.gsi.gov.uk by 28 September.
