Elliot Jackson, National Convener, is delighted to announce the appointment of Russell Humphreys as the new Area Convener for the Argyll and Bute Area Support Team. 

Russell will take up the role from 1 July 2022 which had been held by Audrey Houston for the last 18 months. 

Audrey stepped down in the spring with the Depute Area Convener, Sylvia McQuarrie, supporting the Argyll and Bute Panel Community since then. The National Convener expressed his gratitude that Sylvia had taken on this lead role while the post was openly recruited.

Russell has spent his working life focused on children and families. He has previous experience of Children’s Hearings Scotland having spent a number of years as a Panel Practice Adviser.
