Learning and Development Coordinator - Highland & MorayVoluntary: All reasonable travel and out-of-pocket expenses reimbursed in line with CHS’ volunteer expenses policyApproximately 2-3 days per month (equivalent)Highland & Moray Area Support Team (AST) is looking to appoint a Learning and Development Coordinator (LDC) in Highland & Moray to support and promote Panel Member learning and development at a local level. Learning and Development Coordinators (LDCs) are required to conduct an annual learning and development needs analysis and use this information to develop a programme of relevant local Panel Member information, learning and development sessions. In addition, LDCs assist with the local Panel Member recruitment process, arrange visits to local resources and play a role in the ASTs annual recognition of the commitment of Panel Members in their area. LDCs are accountable to, and supported by, the Area Convener and work closely with Children's Hearings Scotland (CHS) and the CHS Learning Academy. Applicants must be aware of the legal framework of the Children's Hearings System and understand the role of Panel Members. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills; Ability to foster good working relationships; Impartiality; Excellent problem solving skills; Solution focused; and Experience of effectively working alongside paid staff and volunteers and a good understanding of the differences between the two.
