John AndersonBoard memberJohn started his career as a teacher and after graduating in law in 1991, became extensively involved in the area of regulation and protection of the public. He was a Children’s Panel member for 16 years, served as Chair of the Edinburgh Panel and also as Depute Chair of the Chairman’s Group. John has wide experience in professional regulation and has worked for the General Teaching Council for Scotland for 10 years, retiring as Head of Fitness to Teach in 2012. He is a former Independent Assessor for Public Appointments in Scotland and member of the Scottish Solicitors’ Discipline Tribunal and currently? serves on the disciplinary panels of the Faculty of Advocates, CIMA, CIPFA, & RICS and the Investigating Panel of the GMC.
